The City of Albany decided at the February Ordinary Council Meeting to seek community comment on the topic of deregulated trading in Albany. Working with the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the City of Albany aims to ensure local businesses are given the best commercial opportunities possible while balancing the needs of the broader community.
Consultants have been engaged to seek business and community opinion on deregulated trading to guide Council’s future decisions.
The company, Asset Research, is using public forums, focus groups and internet-based surveys to determine popular opinion on deregulated trading.
The surveys’ findings will provide the City of Albany Council with objective data to inform any recommendations on whether to apply to the Minister for Commerce for deregulate trade in the City of Albany.
By gathering this information through independent consultants, we can be sure that Council has all the necessary information to make the best decision for the wider Albany community.
