The Vancouver Arts Centre is launching the Fringe Arts Regional Festival this February! FAR Festival will be a new and exciting program of emerging artists, local independent artists, and exciting happenings!

FAR Festival 2018 is part of the Vancouver Arts Centre’s commitment to supporting and encouraging the development of contemporary performance and creative practice in the Great Southern region.

The Festival features four weeks of artistic programming culminating in an incredible night of contemporary performance. Titled FAR FETCHED, the night features three performances: Air and Artefact by Annette Carmichael and James Gentle, Becoming Gertrude by Liz Jack, and The Presence of Wool choreographed by Sym Parr, with Rita Bush and Emma Leggatt. The night finishes with brief experimental performances from local acts and a big dance party at FAR OUT on Saturday 24 February 2018 from 8pm.

The Vancouver Arts Centre have taken the plunge for the first FAR Festival with the support of Denmark Arts, Creative Albany Inc, Tone List and the Albany Entertainment Centre.

This year will be a taster of what is to come! Follow your curiosity here: https://www.facebook.com/AlbanyArts/
