The Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre is inviting teams to register for the 2012 Ladies and Mixed Social Netball season.

The Ladies competition will run on a Monday night commencing 30 April 2012 and the Mixed Competition will run on Tuesday nights commencing 1 May 2012.

There is a one off team registration fee of $48 required when registering as well as a team fee of $48 which will be payable each game night.

The Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre offers a comprehensive Swim2Survive program catering for swimmers aged seven months to adults and all ability levels. Lessons are offered Monday to Saturday and during School Holidays. All lessons are conducted by Austswim qualified and experienced teachers in our leisure pool heated to 30° all year round and our eight lane 25m lap pool.

Our Swim2Survive Swim School is Austswim accredited and endorsed by the Royal Life Saving Society Australia using the Swim and Survive Program.

Come and enjoy our indoor aquatic facility which offers a family friendly environment and a range of swimming and relaxation options. ALAC has easy access and changing facilities for the elderly, parents with prams and for people with disabilities.  

The main pool hall consists of an eight lane 25 metre pool with grandstand seating, a large beach entry leisure pool with four 25 metre swim lanes including a river ride with a spa as well as a toddler’s pool. Special features include a water slide and a spa and steam room area.

ALAC’s Astro Turf provides the ultimate true surface for playing Hockey and other outdoor sports. The full size wet turf field is fully lit and can be divided into halves for training bookings. Albany Hockey Association has its club room facilities on site providing undercover viewing.

ALAC now boasts a total of seven indoor multi-purpose courts with the commissioning of the three new parquetry sprung exhibition courts in January 2011.

 

The new additional courts feature environmentally friendly design with natural lighting and air flow.  The new courts cater for Basketball, Netball, Volleyball and Indoor Hockey and are fitted with state of the art equipment. An international standard exhibition court caters for special sporting events. Modern seating is provided to view the action from a large gallery area off the courts.

 

The courts have independent change room and shower facilities which cater for people with disabilities.
