Albany Local Planning Strategy

A blueprint for Albany’s future

Over the next 20 years the population of the City of Albany is likely to grow by about 8400 people, requiring about 3300 additional houses, and the lifestyle that residents now enjoy needs to be protected.

The Draft Albany Local Planning Strategy (2006) seeks to provide the blueprint for that growth and will be reviewed every five years to ensure it continues to reflect sound planning principles and community expectations.

The Albany Local Planning Strategy also reflects the objectives of the State Planning Strategy and the Lower Great Southern Strategy prepared by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
