  • 10-11.30am: How do I make an Advanced Health Directive?

Three Anchors Meeting Room

Why YOU need an Advance Health Directive and how to start one.
An Advance Health Directive (AHD) can help to ensure your medical care wishes are respected if you are unable to speak for yourself at the time. It can also take the burden of responsibility away from your partner or family, if you are very sick.  But people often find it difficult to know where to start in writing an AHD - come along to get some useful tips.

Register: contact Vivienne Gardiner on 0472 843 175.

  • 1pm-2.30pm: How can you get the best out of the health system?

Three Anchors Meeting Room

We have some great health facilities in our region, and some dedicated people working in them, but if we want to get the best results from our health care journey, we need to help ourselves, too. WA Country Health provides some useful tools for keeping ourselves safe in hospital, escalating concerns, or registering complaints. They also want your feedback! Here's a chance to hear about the tools - and to pass on your feedback, via a consumer representative.

Register: contact Vivienne Gardiner on 0472 843 175.
