Making Theatre Everywhere
Past Event
Making Theatre Everywhere is a hands-on course for creatives from the age of 15 years and older in making site specific and outdoor performance works.
Delivered by Dr Alan Hancock from ECU/WAAPA, these skills are particularly relevant for performers who are keen to explore ways of activating the space at community events and performing in unique places.
Join one of the five sessions to find out how professional companies use impro, imagination and research to make site-specific performance, working at a wide variety of sites from the tiny – a corridor, doorway or balcony – to the huge – a car park, sports field, or town square.
Participants will try out processions and journey theatre and experiment with performer/audience relations and interactive theatre.
