Our Art, Our Future: Amy Kerr

Saturday 24th July 2021

Join local artist Amy Kerr to create a community art project as part of the ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Program.

Amy will be running two workshops to help develop your skills as an artist, while challenging participants to think outside the box when considering what is an appropriate material for creating art.

Tea-Riffic Art

Vancouver Arts Centre / Large Meeting Room

10 July / 9am - 12pm

Join us for a tea-rrific morning exploring how our love for tea impacts the world we live in. We will create lanterns with old tea bags and explore alternatives for creating our beloved morning cuppas that don't harm the planet.

Hole in One

Vancouver Arts Centre / Large Meeting Room

24 July / 9am - 12pm

Have you ever got a hole in one? Socks with holes, odd socks, missing socks - what can we do with these? Together we will make a sock blanket bringing together all the socks who are missing their other half or have holes beyond repair.

Please bring along any socks you have at home needing some love and attention.

To register for Tear-Riffic Art, head to https://tea-rrific_art.eventbrite.com.au, or to https://hole_in_one_upcycling_groupart.eventbrite.com.au for Hole in One.

These events are only available to ages 10 and over to ensure the safety of all participants. All participants must register before attending as spots are limited.

This project is proudly supported by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Program, The City of Albany and Rio Tinto.
