Skate Coaching Clinics

Past Event

There won’t be a shortage of kick flips, jumps, grinds and tricks when the City of Albany partner with Rollin’ Youth to bring Skate Coaching Clinics to town next month.

The skate coaching clinics are a popular way for beginner and intermediate skateboarders to learn new tricks, improve their skating skills and gain valuable experience from advanced skaters.

Three sessions will take place at Mills Park, adjacent to Little Grove School across the day for the whole community to get involved with at 11am, 12pm and 1pm with a girl’s only session held at 10am.

Senior Community Development Officer Tammy Flett said the skating clinics are always a popular event with the community.

“We love partnering with Rollin’ Youth to bring these skating clinics to Albany because the youth in town love them, they get involved and come out at the end with new skills and motivation to keep skating,” she said.

“Giving the young people in our community the tools to keep active, enjoy the outdoors and build skating and social skills is important for them to feel connected and valued every day.”

A limited number of skateboards will be available for use on the day for those without equipment, where clinics are filling up fast.
