The Vancouver Arts Centre presents a weekend of dance, music, and good times. Join professional instructors from Simply Swing dance academy as they present a series of events aimed at bringing the joy of swing dancing to the people of Albany.
Friday evening the CWA Hall will come alive with live music from local jazz band Spindrift, and electro swing DJs. During the night there will be live swing dance demonstrations from Simply Swing and the opportunity to try a free trial lesson in the basics of swing dancing.
Saturday Simply Swing will teach two 1.5hr classes designed at introducing and building on the basics of swing dancing. Beginner class is 10:00am – 11:30am and Intermediate class is 12:30pm – 2:00pm. Advanced classes are available on request.
No partner? No problem!
Classes are taught in a manner that it is not necessary to bring a partner. Couples, singles, even groups of friends are welcome to join in with the fun.
