As the days shorten and the cold weather creeps in, venues across Albany will heat up with a wide variety of arts, culture and children’s events for the annual Maritime Festival. The Maritime Festival celebrates our City’s cultural and maritime history, including that of Albany’s Menang Noongar people – who have strong links to the sea dating back thousands of years.
The City of Albany’s Events Team is currently inviting commercial operators, community groups, local business and talent to submit an Expression of Interest to participate in the 2023 Maritime Festival.

FORESHORE FRIDAY
Friday, 30 June 2023 | 6pm – 11pm
Albany Boat Shed
The 2023 Maritime Festival will kick off with a bang at Foreshore Friday. This special night brings together music, food and fire at the Maritime Festival Hub – the Albany Boatshed. Patrons will escape the winter chill and enjoy a welcome glass of mulled wine warming themselves by fire pits as they listen to live music from local emerging musicians.

Albany Boat Shed
To compliment the annual Build a Boat Competition and Regatta event down at the Albany Boat Shed, the All at Sea Saturday event program is anticipating to be filled with local businesses / suppliers / entertainers with family focused activities, market stalls, cooking demonstrations using unique local ocean and aquaculture produce, interactive educational stands from the marine and aquaculture industry, “come and try” water / marine related experiences and much more.

Please note submission of this form does not guarantee your participation in the festival.
Applicants who have been shortlisted will be contacted a minimum of one month prior to the event date to confirm their interest and availability. Selection of applicants is at the City of Albany’s discretion. The City will select applications that offer the best value to attendees and provide the best overall fit for the event.
Please note that unsuccessful applicants will not receive notification and should consider the application unsuccessful if they do not receive any further correspondence from the City.
