City of Albany is offering Community Event Grants of up to $5,000 and Regional Event Sponsorship Grants of up to $20,000 to support community events and major regional events in Albany.
Community Event Grants are now open for community groups who are intending to run events that require financial assistance and that meet the necessary criteria.
Events must be held between 1 July 2022 and 31 December 2022, increase the vibrancy and diversity of Albany, enhance community engagement and add to the positive image of Albany.
Regional Event Sponsorship Grants are now open and must take place between 1 July 2022 and 31 December 2022, increase visitation to Albany, inspire the local community and prove their viability.
Chief Executive Officer Andrew Sharpe said the grants support events that promote Albany and add to the positive community spirit.
“These grants are important for community confidence, morale, positivity and overall happiness,” Mr Sharpe said.
“They add to our economic development, support local business and bring visitors to our wonderful town at different points across the year. “We encourage those who can apply to do so and for applicants to chat to City staff in relation to their individual event.”
Community Event Grants and Regional Event Sponsorship Grants are open until 14 February 2022.
