On Saturday, October 25th, 2025, Albany Secondary Education Support Centre will be hosting a fundraising gala at Retravision Stadium in Albany. The evening will feature delicious tapas food, live music from a variety of talented performers, and an exciting auction with a range of donated items, including art, student creations, and other generous contributions.
Albany Secondary Education Support Centre (ASESC) is the only secondary school in the Great Southern region dedicated to students with additional needs. Our mission is to provide enriching, meaningful education and care for students facing a variety of life challenges and diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other complex conditions. We maintain high expectations for our students, as we have witnessed the remarkable achievements they are capable of when given the right support and resources. As a school, we are always striving to improve our facilities and resources to give our students the very best opportunities to thrive and succeed.
On Saturday, October 25th, 2025, we will be hosting a fundraising gala at Retravision Stadium in Albany. The goal of this event is to raise funds for the purchase of a new school bus, which will be vital in supporting our community access programs. Reliable transportation will enable our students to fully engage in
· Workplace learning programs that provide real-world experience and skills for future employment.
· School camps that offer transformative experiences, developing independence, teamwork, and personal growth.
· Vocational training programs that help students develop the necessary skills for successful transitions into adulthood and the workforce.
The bus will also facilitate field trips, excursions, and other activities that allow our students to build social and life skills in real-world settings.
In addition, we plan to donate part of the proceeds to another worthy cause. We aim to shine a light on the great work that Foster Carers do. With a specific focus on Foster Carers of children with disabilities. Foster Carers do amazing work for the states most vulnerable children. Unfortunately, they are often underappreciated and under resourced. In collaboration with the Albany Community Foundation, we hope to support some of the local foster carers that are connected to our school community.
