Deputy Mayor Paul Terry

Councillor Paul Terry was first elected to Council in 2015, re-elected in 2019 and again in 2023. Paul was also recently elected Deputy Mayor by his fellow Councillors and will fill this role for the next 2 years. Paul has been a very active member of Council where he has sat on various Committees and Chaired the Community & Corporate Services Committee from 2017 to October 2023.

Paul’s professional background is in the Financial Services Industry however he is now involved in the Legal industry managing a firm alongside his partner. Paul is also active within the Community and currently sits on the Cycling Without Age Albany Chapter Committee and is a member of the South Coast Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.

Paul has held previous Committee positions with Albany Community Hospice, Albany Cycle Club, Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Princess Royal Sailing Club (including 2 years as Commodore).
