In an exciting collaboration with the University of Western Australia’s Conservatorium of Music, Breaksea presents a new, fully staged production of Fairy Queen - a stunning reinvention of William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream and Henry Purcell's baroque opera Fairy Queen directed by Matt Ward. Fairy Queen features a massed cast of actors, choirs and Breaksea youth mentorship participants performing alongside the University of Western Australia’s Conservatorium of Music Orchestra led by Shaun Lee Chen and world renowned sopranos Sara Macliver and Pia Adriana Harris.

Fairy Queen is the final performance of the Shadows - A Youth Mentorship Program which engages with hundreds of regional youth between March and August 2022. Shadows - A Youth Mentorship Program is supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Lotterywest, University of Western Australia Conservatorium of Music & Albany Entertainment Centre.
