GSCORE is hosting a full schedule of fun outdoors activities across the Great Southern - some of them free - designed to get more people outdoors and active over the summer break.
All up there will be 13 individual sessions offered in Albany, Mt Barker, Denmark and Katanning, ranging from kayaking to geocaching to hiking to mountain biking.
GSCORE’s school holiday sessions are now more accessible than ever, with Skills Development Officer Andy Percy taking the programs to regional communities such as Denmark, Mt Barker, Tambellup and Katanning.
Programs include:
▪ Mt Barker: Geocaching Adventures for ages 8-12, Wilson Park, Wednesday 6 January, $15.
▪ Denmark: Family Kayak Adventures Safety Sessions, Thursday 7 January. Three separate free sessions available for booking.
▪ Katanning: Geocaching Adventures for ages 8-12, All Ages Park, Friday 8 January, $5 – kindly subsidized by Katanning Hub CRC.
▪ Denmark: Bushwalking Basics for Teens, on local trails on Sunday 10 January, $15.
▪ Albany: Mountain Biking Skills for Kids, at The Forts on Saturday 16 January, $15.
▪ Denmark: Family Kayak Adventures Safety Sessions near Denmark Rivermouth Caravan Park, Thursday 21 January. Three separate free sessions available for booking.
▪ Albany: Bushwalking Basics for Teens, on local trails on Sunday 24 January, $15. ▪ Albany: Get Out & Geocache, free session Sunday 31 January.
