City entertains with summer of fun

Published on Wednesday, 23 December 2020 at 3:14:20 PM

A host of family friendly activities will make a splash in Albany this summer to entertain local kids during the January school holidays.

10 to 25 year olds looking for competition, can join the ultimate Laserscape at Princess Royal Fortress to outwit and outplay other challengers in games of laser tag on January 8.

The games are designed to test participants mettle, aim and strategizing skills, immersing players in the rich history of their surroundings as they dodge enemy attacks behind original gun batteries.

Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre’s popular afterhours Pool Party will also be returning Saturday 30 January for kids aged 10 years and over.

The event will include a live DJ, colourful disco lights, a variety of fun water games and the return of the infamous MAD D.

Senior Community Development Officer Tammy Flett said these school holiday events help families to make the most of their break.

“Finding activities to keep the kids entertained on the long break can be a challenge so the City is always keen to put on some fun entertainment that appeals to the whole family,” she said.

“Laserscape and the ALAC Pool Party are winners with kids of all ages and give parents a break from having to come up with multiple activities to keep the kids occupied and engaged.”

Tickets can be purchased for Laserscape from https://laserscapealbany.eventbrite.com.au

From Monday January 4 tickets for the Pool Party will be available from https://www.albanyleisurecentre.com.au/programs/school-holiday-program.aspx
