City shine spotlight on community recovery

Published on Thursday, 14 May 2020 at 1:34:54 PM

Albany’s social connection and community resilience will come under the spotlight as the City of Albany undertakes the first spot check survey with residents this week.

The surveys will be rolled out quarterly and focus on our community’s ability to adapt and respond to COVID-19, enabling the City to adapt their current recovery plan to meet the needs of the community.

The survey is voluntary and randomly selected participants will be notified via telephone, email or a hard copy of the survey by mail.

City of Albany Acting Manager Community Development and Engagement Rani Param said the survey was a key element in making sure the City’s recovery assistance plan matches the changing needs of the community.

“As we respond to the issues of COVID-19 across this period, it is important that we gain an understanding of what that means for our community every step of the way and how this changes over time” she said.

“Our quarterly survey results will shape the way in which the City of Albany and the community work together in the recovery of COVID-19 and best position us to respond and be prepared for future emergency situations”.

Any questions, queries or concerns about the survey can be directed to the City of Albany Community Development Team on 6820 3023 or email [email protected]
