North Road/Sanford Road Roundabout Construction

In order to enhance safety, traffic flow and connectivity, works are about to commence on the construction of the North Road/Sanford Road roundabout.

Preliminary drainage works commenced prior to Christmas and will be completed by late January 2024. Construction of the roundabout is scheduled to commence in late January 2024.

The City’s contractor will be working under closed road conditions between the hours of 7am-6pm weekdays.

This means that:

• there will be no access to Sanford Road from North Road;
• local traffic only between Barnesby Drive and Albany Fire Station;
• local traffic only between Lockyer Avenue and the City of Albany Administration Offices;
• emergency vehicles and permitted truck movements are exempt.

There will be approved road traffic and pedestrian detours in place during road closures.

The City will endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum and would appreciate your cooperation in working with on-site staff.
