City of Albany Council Plan 2026-2036

The City of Albany is developing a new Council Plan, which will set out the City's vision and strategic priorities for the next 10 years.

The Local Government Act 1995 requires all local governments to plan for the future, using an Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. This includes the Strategic Community Plan (SCP), which is developed in close consultation with our community to ensure it reflects the local needs and aspirations of our residents.

In 2025, more than 2,500 community members shared their long-term priorities through our Community Scorecard, which has shaped the structure of the new Plan. Residents are now invited to review these priorities and outcomes to ensure they reflect what matters most.

Residents are encouraged to attend a Community Information Session or complete the online survey.

When completing the survey, it's important to keep in mind the areas that Local Government are responsible for. For more information, visit the WALGA website.
