Review of Youth Friendly Albany Plan


Noah Dillon performing at All Ages Live at the Town Hall Event The City is reviewing the 'Youth Friendly Albany Plan', which prioritises actions targeting young people aged 10-25 which can help young people grow and thrive in our City. 

The review and development of the Plan will be done in collaboration with the City's Youth Advisory Council and will be based on UNICEF's Child-Friendly Cities Framework.

There will be multiple ways young people and their parents/carers can provide feedback including:

  • Completing a survey available online, and in hard copy upon request.
  • Visiting the Youth Advisory Council stall at the Albany Agricultural Show
  • Visiting the City of Albany Stall at the Christmas Festival and Binalup Festival 
  • Attending the City's Youth Forum, which will be held in February 2026.

  • Community Engagement

    Young people will be invited to give feedback through a number of means, to ensure their views are incorporated in to the new Youth Friendly Albany Plan.
  • Review of Feedback and Plan Drafting

    The Community Development Team will work closely with the Youth Advisory Council to review all the feedback collected, to draft the new Youth Friendly Albany Plan.
  • Public Comment

    The revised DRAFT Youth Friendly Albany Plan will be available for review, and comment before being finalised.
