Proposed permanent thoroughfare closure – portion of Moyle Road - by public notice (Closed)

Under Section 3.50(1)(a) of the Local Government Act 1995 [italics], a local government may, by public notice, order that a thoroughfare it manages be closed to the passage of vehicles exceeding 4 weeks.
A 1.2 kilometre section of Moyle Road from the intersection with Two Peoples Bay Road to the southern boundary of Water Corporation Reserve 13802 is proposed for closure to all vehicles with the exception of staff and contractors under the direction of the Water Corporation.
This is at the request of Water Corporation so as to allow security improvements to be undertaken to mitigate unauthorised access to Reserve 13802 which is a public drinking water sources special control area.
Therefore the City intends to permanently close this section of Moyle Road until further notice.
