LAMD36 - Scheme Amendment No.36 (Closed)


Notice is hereby given that the local government of the City of Albany has received a Scheme Amendment application, for Lots 201, 202 and 203 Chester Pass Road and Lot 1004 Viastra Drive, Lange.

The subject site is currently zoned ‘Special Use’ No.23. The following uses may currently be considered at the Special Use zone No.23; Aged Persons’ Village, Consulting Room, Hospital, Medical Centre, Pharmacy and Nursing Home.

The Amendment proposes to:

  1. Add the Special Uses of:
  • Child Care Premises
  • Community Purpose
  • Recreation-Private
  • Veterinary Centre
  1. Rezone a portion of Lot 1004 Viastra Drive, Lange from ‘Special Use (SU23)’ to ‘Highway Commercial’.

Plans and documents setting out and explaining the scheme amendment can be viewed on this page, or alternatively plans can be viewed at the City of Albany, 102 North Road, Yakamia.

Submissions on the planning scheme amendment may be lodged in writing with the undersigned on or before 4th March 2021 and should include the amendment number, the name and address of the person making the submission and details of the property affected.

The City of Albany is the organisation leading the engagement and the Western Australian Planning Commission is the organisation responsible for endorsement of the scheme amendment.

The City propose to ensure that concerns and aspirations are directly reflected in a schedule of submissions, which is presented to the City Council and the Western Australian Planning Commission.
