Middleton Beach Toddler Playground Upgrade

The City received 221 responses to the recent survey regarding the Middleton Beach Toddler Playground upgrade. Thank you to everyone who provided valuable feedback.
Most requested play elements:
- Slides
- Toddler-safe swings
- Climbing equipment
- Nature play elements (logs, rocks, plants)
- Sand and water play
Additional features requested:
- Seating for parents and carers
- Shade or additional trees
- Native gardens
- Fencing/enclosed area for safety
This feedback has been provided to playground suppliers, who have developed five concept options within the current funding allocation.
Project updates:
- The playground will be relocated slightly south to avoid tree roots
- New rubber soft fall will be installed
- A concrete wall will be constructed on the carpark side to improve safety
- Playground construction is anticipated by July 2026
- Additional seating, trees and landscaping are planned for August/September 2026
