Overview

The City of Albany is inviting stakeholder and community feedback on a proposal for 9 x New Multiple Dwellings 4 x new Single Attached Dwellings.

 

The application is being advertised in accordance with the Special Use Provisions (SU25) of Local Planning Scheme 1 that requires any works proposed within the Special Use zone shall require the development approval of the Local Government following advertising of the proposal.  The City values everyone’s opinion and would like to hear from our community and stakeholders to help shape the future of the area.

 

Background

The proposed development site is within the Special Use Zone (SU25) and Activity Centre Structure Plan area.

 

The application proposes four (4) new single attached dwellings adjacent to Marine Terrace, and a further nine (9) multiple dwellings with internal access from Marine Terrace and Adelaide Crescent.  The development has been designed in conjunction with the Local Design Review Panel and has a minimum building height of 2 storeys and maximum of 3 storeys.

  3. Bushfire management plan
  4. Sustainability strategy report
  5. Landscape masterplan
  6. Waste management plan
  7. Acoustic report

 

Submissions

The application is being advertised in accordance with schedule 2, clause 64 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015 and plans will be available for a period of 14 days.

The City has undertaken the following advertising measures:

  • Sign on site
  • Letter to agencies and landholders
  • Comments via an online submission tool
