2025 Southern Art & Craft Trail

Western Australia’s Premier Regional Art Trail Event
Saturday 17th October – Sunday 12th October

Western Australia’s premier regional arts event, the Southern Art & Craft Trail, is set to return from Saturday 27 September to Sunday 12 October 2025, showcasing the talents of more than 500 artists across 63 venues throughout the Great Southern and surrounding regions.

The Southern Art & craft trail, presented by ArtSouthWA, spans over 46,000 hectares, offering locals and visitors a vibrant, accessible celebration of the arts during the spring school holidays. Now recognised as a key cultural tourism event in WA, the Trail features a wide variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, jewellery, pottery, glasswork, and more.

Venues range from cafés, wineries, galleries, community halls, art centres, local businesses, home studios, and pop-up spaces, stretching from Pemberton to Denmark, Albany to Mt Barker, and as far as Bremer Bay, Porongurup, Kojonup, and beyond.

The Trail invites visitors to explore a vibrant and diverse range of interactive exhibitions across the region during the spring school holidays. From bustling towns to peaceful coastal communities, this event highlights the best of local creativity and offers something for all ages.

“The 2024 Trail welcomed record attendance, generated over $400,000 in direct sales for local artists, and contributed more than $5 million to the regional economy,” said Seirah Woodward, Chair of ArtSouthWA.

This year also celebrates greater inclusivity and community engagement. A total of 17 schools, including home-school networks and after-school programs, have partnered with local libraries, businesses, and entertainment venues to exhibit student artworks across the region, from Lake Grace in the north to Albany in the south, Borden in the east and Northcliffe in the west.

“Inclusivity remains a cornerstone both ArtSouthWA & the Southern Art and Craft Trail,” added Woodward.

“We’re proud to welcome new exhibitors including the Gorenang Moortabin Corporation (exhibiting for the first time at Centennial Park), the Community Living Association, and several gender-diverse artists.

The 2025 Southern Art & Craft Trail is proudly presented by ArtSouthWA with the generous support of City of Albany, Tourism Western Australia, Regional Arts WA, Rio Tinto, RDA Great Southern, Great Southern Development Commission, and numerous local governments and professional organisations.
