The City of Albany is proud to announce it has secured the opportunity to host the 2027 WA Tourism Conference, bringing Western Australia’s tourism industry together in the heart of the Great Southern.

The conference will attract tourism leaders, operators, industry professionals and stakeholders from across the State, providing a valuable platform to showcase Albany’s world-class tourism experiences, hospitality sector, major event capability, spectacular coastline and natural attractions.

Securing the conference reflects Albany’s reputation as one of Western Australia’s premier regional tourism destinations and follows the significant momentum generated through Albany 2026.

Mayor of Albany Greg Stocks said hosting the conference was a major endorsement of Albany’s standing within the State’s tourism industry.

“Albany has long been recognised as one of Western Australia’s most iconic visitor destinations, and we are delighted to welcome tourism leaders from across the State in 2027,” Mayor Stocks said.

“Hosting this conference provides an opportunity to showcase our dramatic coastline, fascinating history, exceptional food and hospitality, and the extensive network of walking and nature trails that allow visitors to immerse themselves in our remarkable natural environment.

“From our significant heritage attractions and pristine beaches to our rugged national parks and thriving tourism operators, Albany offers an authentic regional experience.

“Hosting the WA Tourism Conference will not only generate significant economic benefits for our local businesses, accommodation providers, venues and restaurants, but it will also strengthen relationships across the tourism industry and create opportunities for future collaboration.”

Albany has a proven track record of successfully delivering major events and conferences, including the Field of Light: Avenue of Honour exhibition, the 2014–2018 ANZAC Commemorations and the current Albany 2026 program.

The conference is expected to provide a boost to the local economy while supporting the City’s broader vision to increase visitation and strengthen the regional economy.

Mayor Stocks said the event would also help maintain momentum beyond Albany 2026.

“The conference will provide an important opportunity to build on the profile and partnerships created through Albany 2026 and continue positioning Albany as a leading destination for visitors, events and investment,” he said.

The City of Albany looks forward to welcoming delegates from across Western Australia to experience everything Albany and the Great Southern have to offer when the conference comes to town in 2027.
