The City of Albany is calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals to join it' s newly established Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee (ARIC).
This committee will play a key role in enhancing Council’s governance, financial oversight, and risk management functions, as well as advising on areas of continuous improvement.
CEO Andrew Sharpe said the new purpose of the committee reflects a growing focus on transparency, accountability and good governance across local government.
“We’re seeking experienced professionals who can bring an independent perspective to the City’s operations and contribute to the good governance and continuous improvement of the organisation,” he said.
“This is a valuable opportunity to support community confidence in how we manage public resources, assess risks and deliver services.”
Independent members will be appointed for a term of up to two years, with positions commencing after the October 2025 local government elections. A sitting fee will be paid per meeting in accordance with regulations.
Expressions of interest close at 5.00pm on Friday, 10 October 2025.
Interested applicants should submit a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and a current CV to [email protected].
