Temporary Closure of Mt Melville Tower (Sparkplug)

Please be advised that public access to the Mt Melville Tower (commonly known as the Sparkplug) is closed from 25 June 2025 until Friday, 4 July 2025 due to safety concerns while Optus undertakes equipment upgrades and works on the facility and mast.

In addition, the pedestrian access route near the Telstra mast (gravel area adjacent to the Sparkplug) will also be closed from Friday, 27 June 2025 through to Sunday, 29 June 2025 to facilitate these works.
