Bike Month

Get ready to roll with WA Bike Month 2026!

From 1 October to 31 October the City of Albany is excited to celebrate all things bike riding with you. Whether you're a seasoned rider, or just starting out we have something for everyone!

Bike Scavenger Hunt

Coming soon... we are excited to share with you a fun self-guided ride around Albany's Heritage Precinct.

This route will have you exploring our inner CBD streets and finding out great facts from our long history along the way. We can't wait to see what you find and the photos you share.

Remember to follow the road rules, cross with caution, grab your bike, strap on your helmet and once you have finished the hunt email a copy of the hunt map with your answers to [email protected] for a chance to win great prizes!

Please note one only entry per person. Email and phone number must be clearly written on the form. Entries only accepted from 1 October and close 31 October 5pm. Winners will be selected by random and notified by City staff.

Schools Quick Grants - Bike Month

This October, in recognition of WA Bike Month, the City would like to support Albany schools in getting students and their families walking, riding and scooting with the opportunity to apply for the Schools Quick Grants.
In lieu of the Department of Transport deferring their Bike Month Grants, the City offered up to $400 for events and activities that encourage the school community to ride to and from school during October.
We were so excited to see the great ideas and award grants to two local schools. Watch this space as we share their great projects with you over Bike Month.
In the meantime, the easiest way to get your school more active is the supported and fun program Your Move which gives your students, teachers and P&C the support to get students and families walking, cycling and scooting.
