Festival of Halls (Bicentennial Festival of Heritage Halls)

Friday 3rd April 2026

2026 is Albany’s Bicentennial. The Festival of Halls brings together communities and visitors in a wonderful celebration of local arts. From April 3rd to June 7th, we’ll be showcasing the rich local history and vibrant culture of our region through a series of exciting events held in our local Heritage Halls.

Halls have always been at the heart of local communities, hosting everything from dances, sports events and birthdays, to weddings, Christmas gatherings and so much more. Today, many of these halls continue to play a vital role in connecting people and preserving local traditions.

The Festival of Halls is your chance to immerse yourself in the spirit of these community hubs. Whether you’re enjoying art exhibitions, music nights, poetry, storytelling or taking part in hands-on workshops, there’s something for everyone! Plus, we’ll be hosting an Indigenous cultural showcase to celebrate the rich heritage of the region.

Stay in the loop and go to our website www.artsouthwa.com.au/festival-of-halls for the latest events and updates. Check out the events that are running, select the ones you want to attend, register if needed and add them to your diary. Most events are free.
