History, nature, remembrance and adventure are the four pillars of a new award submission for Albany to win the title of the Top Tourism Town from the Visitors Centre of WA and GWN7.

With 70 per cent of the score determined by public vote, the City of Albany is encouraging residents and visitors to show their support by jumping online and casting their vote.

City of Albany Mayor Dennis Wellington is asking all those who love Albany and the Amazing South Coast to get involved.

“We all know Albany is the best place in Western Australia, with beautiful beaches, a rich history, our Anzac connection and a spectacular community. Now we need everyone to jump online and cast their vote,” Mayor Wellington said.

“Our accommodation providers and tourism operators had a big summer with the Field of Light: Avenue of Honour providing a wonderful addition to Albany’s existing attractions, and I hope that those who enjoyed their time here send some love our way by voting.”

Voting opened on 1 August via the Amazing South Coast www.theamazingsouthcoast.com.au/vote and closes on 25 August 2019.
