Scheme Amendment No.2

The City of Albany has received Scheme Amendment No. 2, which proposes to amend Local Planning Scheme No. 2 by:

Transferring the land zoning from the ‘Rural’ zone and ‘Infrastructure Services’ reserve to ‘Rural Residential’ and ‘Rural Smallholding’ zones and ‘Drainage/Waterway’ reserve.

Scheme Amendment No. 2 is considered a complex amendment in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 (the Planning Regulations).

Public consultation on the proposed amendment is now open and will close on 16 February 2026.

Plans and documents explaining the proposal are available at the City of Albany offices, 102 North Road, Yakamia WA 6330, and can be viewed during office hours until the close of the advertising period.
