How to Save Energy at Home

Past Event

Join us for an evening with Rob from Green Services and learn how to prepare for winter in Albany.

The session will cover:
  • Using your bills, meters, online graphs of your usage and no. kgs of bottled gas and firewood - to get to grips with your usage
  • No power and low power ways to keep cosy: insulation, window treatments, draft-proofing, room zoning, choosing electric warming heating appliances
  • Going electric – i.e. preparing for when gas hot water system, stove or heating suddenly die (as they do!)
  • Going solar and using your solar data to make the most of your system.
  • Getting a solar battery – do the maths stack up yet?
