New Evening Time of 5pm
Witness the wonder of Patricia Piccinini’s Skywhale and Skywhalepapa—two breathtaking hot air balloon sculptures, as they come to life at sunset.
Join the celebrations at this unforgettable community event. Bring a blanket and thermos then settle in to watch these gentle giants slowly rise from the ground and, weather permitting, light up the skies of Albany.
This marks the first time the Skywhale family will tether at night, offering a unique and special opportunity to witness their magic at sunset.
Location: Retravision Stadium
Gates open to the public at 5:00PM
Event start time at 5:20PM
Event finish time at 6:45PM
Parking: Available at Retravision Stadium, P2 carpark.
Due to unfavourable weather conditions forecast for the morning, the event has been rescheduled to Saturday evening from 5:00pm, to ensure visitors can enjoy Skywhale and Skywhalepapa in their fully-inflated glory. Please take this change into consideration when planning your travel to the event. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your understanding.
