The COA Prohibited Burning period in the South West Sector has been extended until midnight 9th April 2026

The City of Albany proposes a non-exclusive licence to Virgin Australia Regional Airlines Pty Ltd for a designated portion of the Albany Regional Airport terminal.
This arrangement is for the Rio Tinto fly in fly out direct charter services for a consideration of $10.00 ex GST per annum. Virgin Australia Regional Airlines will also pay landing and passenger fees applicable at the Airport.
The licence is for a term of 5 years from 27 February 2026 to 26 February 2031.
It is a requirement of the Local Government Act 1995 that this proposal be advertised for public comment.
