Proposed Major Land Transaction - McAlpine Rise Residential Development

The City of Albany is seeking public comment on a proposed Major Land Transaction relating to the McAlpine Rise Residential Development.

In accordance with section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995, the City has prepared a Business Plan for the proposed subdivision, development and future sale of residential land at McAlpine Rise.

The proposal relates to City-owned land at Lot 9002 Mueller Street, Lockyer, together with adjoining land at Lot 150 Townsend Street, Lockyer, owned by Uniting Church Homes (Juniper). The proposal is based on Western Australian Planning Commission Application 203222.

Make a Submission

Written submissions are invited and will be considered by Council before any decision is made on whether to proceed with the proposed Major Land Transaction.

Closing Date

Submissions must be received by 5.00pm on Thursday, 5 November 2026.

Following the close of the submission period, all submissions received will be presented to Council for consideration before Council determines whether to proceed with the proposed Major Land Transaction.
