The Unrestricted Burning Period for the NORTHEAST SECTOR of the City of Albany has been varied and will be extended up to and including 14 October 2025. 

The SOUTHWEST SECTOR Unrestricted and Restricted periods remain unchanged.

Roadworks - Lancaster Road

As part of the 2025/2026 capital works programme, the City of Albany is undertaking roadworks on Lancaster Road between Comet Corner and Timewell Road.  The current scope includes:

 

  • New drainage infrastructure;
  • Road reconstruction and widening;
  • Asphalt and kerbing.

 

Works are expected to commence in early October 2025 and expected to be completed by March 2026, weather permitting.

 

Road closures, with local traffic only and traffic controls, will be in place for the duration of the works.  The Contractor will endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum and would appreciate your co-operation in working with on-site staff.
